The State’s highest civil court turned down an urgent appeal by the Office of the Attorney General ( OAG ) to challenge the validity of a new Texas law banning concealed carry at this year’s fair, which kicks off on Friday.
Just one day after the magistrates of the country’s new 15th Court of Appeals also rejected the OAG’s claims, leading to Attorney General Ken Paxton’s appeal to the Texas Supreme Court, the state’s ask for a temporary injunction was ultimately denied on Thursday night.
