Beginning on September 30, two of the most well-known faces on the far left will join Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX-35 ), holding rallies outwardly focused on an “aggressive progressive agenda” and “energizing working class voters” and formally backing his bid to lead the House Progressive Caucus.
Casar confirmed he is running to lead the House Progressive Caucus, of which Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY ) is a member and which Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT ) helped found in 1991. The conference is focused on the three columns of a fair market, common care, and weather justice.
