There is nothing more invigorating or relaxing than an early morning Sunday drive from the Texas Hill Country to the city (San Antonio). On most Sunday’s I return from Campo Rio Ranch, home of Mission Transition early in the day. The drive is usually relaxing, uneventful and interesting, as you never known what you are going to see; a flock of turkey’s, exotic animals, axis deer, white tail deer, a wild hog or two, longhorns, and now and then even bison.

Most Sunday’s I am in a rush to get back and never take the time to enjoy the drive, however, last Sunday I was a little more observant and took the time to take a picture or two and enjoy the drive. Early in the day, in the hill country, you have to be ever mindful while driving because there is normally an abundance of axis and white tail deer darting here and there having the tendency to jump right in front of the vehicle. So one must be ever vigilant taking care not to hit a beautiful creature of nature. With deer season starting up, they will more than likely start staying out of sight as they always seem to know when the hunting season is on. To all hunters, take care, be safe and follow the rules and laws of hunting.
