Medina Independent School District Athletic Director Cully Doyle was a very busy man as he and his coaches helped the Medina Cross Country Meet proceed smoothly on Saturday, Aug. 29.
He called the second-year cross country event “a huge success” and said the Medina cross country teams performed well against strong competition.
“The girls finished fourth overall in their division out of 15. The boys finished seventh in their division,” said Doyle. “This relay is a fun way to start the season off. It was great to see the kids come together and be able to race.
“I want to thank all the people that helped and supported this event and especially Deer Creek Camp for allowing us to use their beautiful facility to host the event for the students.
“It is going to be fun to watch the team grow and watch the success of these individuals.”
Eight schools participated in the event.
In addition to Medina and Bandera, the teams were from Utopia, Rocksprings, San Antonio, Comfort, La Verina, Lytle, D’Hanis, and from Calvary Christian Academy.
