In northeast Louisiana, the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission ( LWFC) updated its Notice of Intent to allow for a Louisiana black bear hunting season in December 2024. The action came during the commission’s April meeting Tuesday ( April 9 ) in Baton Rouge.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries ( LDWF ) will only be able to conduct the hunt in Bear Management Area 4, which includes portions of Richland, Franklin, and Catahoula parishes as well as portions of Richland, Franklin, and Catahoula parishes. Dec. 1 did the season begin. 7, 2024 and move through Dec. 22, 2024.
By jackpot, only Louisiana people with legitimate licenses can make a match. A LDWF keep warrior training course will be required for all successful hunters.
