The vast majority of mass-produced graphite rods are mid-range elastic ones.

Why does a pole move slowly, moderately, or quickly? The amount of bend a shaft makes from the idea when it is under load determines its action. A fast action rod twists in the best 1/4 of the rod. That stretch may reach the top half of a delayed action rod when the rod is in that position. Virtually every manufacturer of graphite rods in the industry creates products with quick and even more quick action. This action is best for suspending or topwater lures because each twitch causes the lure to move too quickly, even though it works best with a light, delicate cheap lure. The most effective action for that kind of trap would be a mild quick action rod. Matching a spear’s activity to the kind of lure being used is therefore the most crucial factor, even though rod action does affect casting distance and accuracy.
How does one understand which rod to choose and what is wire power? The degree of “backbone” a shaft has in its lower half is known as its “rod strength.” The most important factor in selecting the best energy is the kind of fish you intend to catch. Something in the medium to medium gentle authority selection works best for the majority of coastal types.
