The Trump administration selected Dr. Jennifer Shuford, Commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services ( DSHS), to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC ) as a leader.
President Donald Trump’s inauguration as the CDC’s new assistant chairman and chief medical officer was announced last week on Truth Social. Additionally, Trump announced the meetings of Dr. Sara Brenner and Dr. Erica Schwartz as CDC’s senior advisor and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Health and Human Services Secretary.
