KERRVILLE, Texas- Kerr County Animal Services have reported a rabies positive case in a bat.
On Wednesday, officials confirmed the bat was positive after it had been summitted earlier in the week for testing.
A resident on Harper Road in Kerrville found the bat on their porch and gave it over to Animal Care Services.
So far this year, Kerrville has reported four cases of rabies, including one raccoon, two foxes and now one bat.
Officials ask that you get your pets vaccinated against rabies and always report if you see wildlife acting abnormally.
