
On Monday, panel members from the Texas Senate Committee on Water, Agriculture, and Rural Affairs, among other things, discussed the New World Screwworm ( NWS ) and water desalination.
South Texas has lately become the subject of a story about water supply issues in Corpus Christi and the opening of a sterile travel facility in Edinburg to stop the spread of the parasite NWS, which is a problem affecting livestock in South America and Mexico.
