On Wednesday, October 7, President Donald Trump addressed the GOP’s accomplishments and its quarterly individuals at a rally in San Antonio. Less than a month and just 12 weeks before early voting begins on October 19, the Freeman Coliseum hosted the occasion.
Many Republican elected officials and activists delivered short speeches before the government’s arrival. The GOP nominees for Congressional Districts ( CD ) 23 and CD 35, respectively, which are somewhat competitive districts that include parts of San Antonio, included Brandon Herrera and Carlos De La Cruz among them. The Republican member for CD 10, which extends from Austin to Houston’s northwestern suburbs, Chris Gober also gave a speech.
Following U.S. Rep. Tony Gonzalez’s (R-TX-23 ) resignation earlier this year, CD 23 is currently vacant. With its current representative, U.S. Rep. Greg Casar (D-TX-35 ), opting to run in CD 37 instead of retiring U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX-37 ), the redistricting dramatically changed last year to be more favorable to Republicans.
In addition to praising Trump’s achievement as president, the candidates urged voters to help Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections in 2026. For instance, Hernandez argued that if Democrats won the majority, voters should anticipate” no progress and a number of fake prosecution hearings,” adding that” this is a great vote to vote red up and down the vote.”
De La Cruz used his speech to criticize Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy Johnny Garcia, the brother of current U.S. Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R-TX-15 ). De La Cruz called Garcia” the PR person for one of the country’s most progressive officers.” His new employers today want him to justify their actions.
Additionally, there were a number of nationwide individuals. State Senator Mayes Middleton (R-Friendswood ), the Republican nominee for Texas’s attorney general, and Lieutenant Governor, were among them. Patrick, Dan Gov. Greg Abbott declined to speak, citing” the plan I run,” but he did claim that the president “does a good job of organizing and turning out the foundation”
In November, state senators Nathan Johnson (D-Dallas ) and state representative Vikki Goodwin (D-Austin ), respectively, Middleton and Patrick launched nominal attacks against their rivals. In the U.S. Senate race, both candidates appeared to be more focused on one Democrat, state representative James Talarico (D-Austin ), who is tied with or leading polls against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
There are skeptics who I know are more Biblical than him, according to Middleton, who spent four years with that man while serving in the Texas House. Patrick sarcastically described Talarico’s actions after reciting the Alamo’s account in a mocking manner.
Evidently, Paxton escorted Talarico’s problems during his speech. Paxton inquired to the visitors,” Where do you think they hid that little marxist” after Talarico’s new emergence from public appearances. and warned the media against being more important.
On September 30, Talarico appeared nearly and claimed to have contracted the virus, which was scheduled for a U.S. Hispanic Business Council meeting. In nearly two weeks, he hasn’t made a public presence on the campaign trail.
Trump’s statement contradicted his assertion that the “vegan” Talarico had been made to feed foods” for political factors” and that this led to illness. Trump appeared to be taking a particular interest in Paxton’s culture and took a particular pleasure in mocking” Talafreako,” as he’s known as the Democratic candidate, in addition to urging voters to support the other Republican candidates present.
Trump claimed that Texas has been the position where people have fled from Democratic-run California, New York, Illinois, and additional failing blue state for centuries. A vote for Talafreako would move Texas into a dirty, failing, crime-ridden Third World dumping ground, but if Talafreako and the Democrats get their way, all of that poverty, misery, hunger, homelessness, I said the other day.
Paxton and De La Cruz were among the individuals who came along on stage, most notably Trump. Additionally, he made an effort to support Republican Webb County Judge Tano Tijerina and slam U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX-28 ). Trump said he” thought there would be a good chance” that Cuellar had switch parties to the Republicans after pardoning him, who was accused of corruption, wealth fraud, and plot at the end of last year, and that doing so would have exposed him to be an “unappreciative person.”
Trump defended his laws, from the business to the Iran warfare to immigration, despite about a dozen protesters ‘ breaks.
He even made time for Marie Herrera Vega, the family of Border Patrol Agent Javier Vega Jr., whose murder was committed by an immigrant without authorization in 2014.
Trump, however, kept returning to Talarico.
Trump predicted that Texas would remain “almost quickly destroyed” if the Democratic were to win.
