The headquarters of Blue Origin, an independent area engineering firm founded by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, will be in Central Texas.
In the upcoming months, the discreetly held business is anticipated to start raising money for an initial public offering.

The iconic Highway 79 will serve as the location for Blue Origin’s facilities, according to Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder, who stated,” Hutto is becoming an anchor point on the Highway 79 tech corridor with this investment by Blue Origin and recent expansions by other industry leaders.”
The governor’s office estimates that the project will generate more than 2, 000 new jobs and is worth a nearly$ 555 million investment. Additionally, the Texas Enterprise Fund will award a$ 10,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus in addition to the above-$ 18 million grant.
The business is expected to become Hutto’s new-largest employer.
Although the details of the deals have not yet been made public, Williamson County, the City of Hutto, and the Hutto Economic Development Corps ( EDC ) have also provided incentives to Blue Origin. The Hutto City Council voted on incentive agreements signed by the city, the EDC, and the project on August 6. Resolutions were approved by a vote of 5 to 2.
