House Bill ( HB) 1223, a state law passed during the 83rd Legislature in 2013, gave rise to a sales tax exemption for tangible personal property purchased for essential use in qualifying data centers, was the subject of testimony on Monday morning’s meeting of the Texas Senate’s Finance Committee.
