Over 70 Republicans wrote to the fair’s governing board asking for the policy change to be rescinded following a recent decision by the board of the Texas State Fair to reverse an existing policy that allowed concealed carry by license-to-carry ( LTC ) holders.
From September 27 to October 20, the yearly fair in Dallas, which is held annually at Fair Park, averages a high of over 100, 000 visitors per day. The fair last year attracted more than 2.3 million visitors and had a virtually$ 500 million economic impact.
