In addition to Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH), Rural Pathways Excellence Partnership (R-PEP), and several Texas public school districts have expanded education opportunities that support individuals with occupation and college preparation.
In response to the 89th Legislative Session, House Bill ( HB) 120, which was passed, increased funding for these types of programs and encouraged collaboration with community colleges, industry partners, and workforce boards, was passed. Additionally, it tripled the per-student P-TEC H allotment from$ 50 to$ 150 million, increased the number of subsidies students may receive for CTE certification exams, and increased the cap on new instructional facility allotments from$ 100 million to$ 150 million.
