On Thursday afternoon, the Texas Education Agency ( TEA ) made the announcement that the state would take control of the Connally, Beaumont, and Lakeworth Independent School Districts ( ISDs ).
Following the release of the most recent TEA accountability ratings in August, these districts received at least one campus in each of them for a second consecutive rating that was unethical. The inspector may require the appointment of a table of managers to manage the school district, or the closing of the campus, as defined by the Texas Education Code.
