Congressman Jodey Arrington (R-TX-19) is not seeking re-election in 2026 and will retire from Congress after completion of his current fifth term and 10th year in office.
Arrington, the chairman of the U.S. House Budget Committee, made his announcement via a video posted on X on Tuesday morning thanking his constituents for their trust and touting a handful of his accomplishments in office, including authoring the federal funding “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.”
