According to a filing obtained by The Texan, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has dropped its appeal of a $6.7 million judgment awarded to four former employees who in 2020 filed a case against the agency and Attorney General Ken Paxton under the Texas Whistleblower Act.
“A left-wing judge in Austin issued a bogus judgment in support of baseless claims by rogue employees designed to prevent Attorney General Paxton from safeguarding Texas,” an OAG spokesman told The Texan.
