Gov. Greg Abbott will face off against state Rep. Gina Hinojosa (D-Austin) in the November general election after both won their respective primaries on Tuesday night.
Hinojosa won the Democratic nomination, showing 58.59 percent of the votes at 10:00 pm. She was congratulated by the Texas Democratic Party (DNC) Chair Ken Martin, who stated, “Hinojosa has never been afraid to take on Greg Abbott.”
