A suspected Sinaloa Cartel “boss” was captured by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Mexico, in collaboration with the Texas Department of Public Safety and other agencies over nine months.
Known as “El Pato,” Leonardo Daniel Martinez Vera was captured in Juarez, Mexico after assistance from various state and federal departments, particularly the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and its National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) — a program that’s become a key part of President Donald Trump’s crackdown on foreign cartels.
