In the Democratic primary runoff for Texas attorney general, Texas State Sen. Nathan Johnson (D-Dallas ) defeated former Galveston Mayor Joe Jaworski, clinching the party’s nomination for the office’s most powerful position.
Unofficial election results show that Johnson won with 60 % of the vote on Tuesday night and will face state senator Mayes Middleton (R-Galveston ) in the general election in November.
