In his bid to succeed Attorney General Ken Paxton as the state’s top cop, Texas attorney general, state senator Mayes Middleton (R-Galveston ), defeating U.S. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX-21 ).
Illegal election results showed that Middleton held 57 percent of the vote to Roy’s 43 percent as of Tuesday night.
