As the tax appraisal notices come out, I want to take a moment to say how much we appreciate the tax payer’s support here at the Sheriff’s Office.  I also want to let local tax payers know we do all we can to be good stewards of resources they give us and we have put a great deal of effort into getting grants to support our small county’s law enforcement and public safety efforts. 

Since taking office in 2017, we have obtained the following grants in support of our public safety efforts here at the Real County Sheriff’s Office:

Body worn cameras for the officers $11,440
Rifle Resistant Body Armor for officers $8,700
Law Enforcement Response Equipment and vehicles $44,230
Law Enforcement Response Equipment and vehicles $47,000
NIBRS – National Incident Based Reporting System With Computer Assisted Dispatching and Records Management System $80,309
Critical Needs for public safety equipment $73,297
Critical Equipment for vehicles $46,242
Standard officer body armor $8,900
Jail cameras and recording equipment $1,800
Telepsych service equipment $2,400
EOC Storage Container $3,000
Impound yard Leakey $10,000
Impound yard Camp Wood $10,000
