The NWTF has concentrated on protecting wild turkeys through wildlife habitat work across the United States for 50 years( 1973 – 2023 ). Through its participation and assistance of state, personal, national, ethnic, or other conservation organizations, as well as by offering technical support to landowners and other partners, the NWTF will also have a positive impact on the amount of wildlife habitat acreage. For instance, additional conservation initiatives like the USDA Forest Service Wildfire Crisis Strategy and landscape-scale efforts that the NWTF is directly involved in will work toward favorably impacted land.
According to Mark Hatfield, director of restoration services for the NWTF,” We’re going to achieve our goal by immediately conserving or enhancing acres of animals wildlife along with work through our presence and support of partnerships.” In addition, we’ll keep up our advocacy and plan work to safeguard the nation’s essential water and forest resources, as well as our research and other initiatives.
