
Texas legislators heard evidence this week on potential issues in state supervision of taxpayer-funded courses designed to assist the poor in the wake of a national conversation over waste, fraud, and abuse in national health and welfare programs.
” We are currently experiencing an epidemic in care, but not from a disease or illness. According to Texas Senate Committee on Health and Human Services chairperson Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham ),” we are looking into a nationwide epidemic of fraud in healthcare.”
