The first female Republican to represent Texas in the U.S House of Representatives and first female mayor of Fort Worth, Kay Granger, passed away on Sunday, with Texans from both sides of the aisle mourning the loss and lauding her legacy.
Granger, who served in Congress for nearly three decades at the mast of significant funding provisions, passed away at 83 years old in Fort Worth while battling Alzheimer’s disease.
