Texas lawmakers were up in arms after a recent Texas Senate interim committee hearing covering the controversial proposal for 765-kilovolt (kV) transmission lines to be built across the state.
Both lawmakers and members of the public criticized the proposal at the hearing last Wednesday, with state Sens. Lois Kolkhorst (R-Brenham) and Phil King (R-Weatherford) expressing skepticism of the development, and the public highlighting concerns about property rights and the expedited protest filing process for landowners.
