Incumbent Janie Lopez Wins Republican Primary in Rio Grande Valley House District

State Rep. Janie Lopez (R-San Benito) secured the Republican nomination for Texas House District (HD) 37, a seat she flipped with a 10-point win over Democrat Jonathan Gracia in 2024. 

Lopez won 69 percent of the vote, and challenger Kristin Luckey received 31 percent.
