Methods for Fall Fishing

Our focus shifts to the fall as we move through the dog days of summer, where fish are eager and the temperature drops. You’ll definitely adore fish in the fall and winter if you enjoy it during the summer.
When weather breezes begin to increases, waters temperature will do the same. Striped fish and other targets will become more active in shallow water as a result. A smooth with dust pockets, grass beds, contact to deeper water, flipping fish and water motion is going to be a good bet.
This can be a wonderful time of year to try artificial lures if you’re interested in fishing with them.
Below are a few common problems I see during fall/early spring and some tips.
1. Wind course change, or no breeze.
Wind plays a major part in water activity. Fish are essential for water movement to occur. If you have no storm or tidal movements, find a point with opposite drop-offs. Water will normally tend around this type of architecture, giving you some movement. Even the smallest breath of winds can cause a lick right away.

Anglers are usually required to adjust their wind direction because they usually change direction. This might be a challenging one. There’s no a law for this. You might be able to change your assessment and/or way to keep drawing. Or, you may have to relocate immediately.
2. Lure fat.
When targeting striped fish in deep waters, try lighter jigheads. Avoid making a solid longer with large jigheads. That powerful jighead may divebomb you to the bottom and/or sever your arm in an effort to keep it in the hit area. Choose a MirrOLure Lil John XL instead of a 1 / 16oz with a smaller hook distance. This combination delivers plenty of uneven action with little effort and casts like a bullet. Fish, redfish and fish are usually prepared on this combination.

3. approving your hunting area very quickly.
Once you’ve chosen the fishing area, you can either slow down and empty until the area is ready or employ a trolling motor. This will give you time to evaluate fish appearance, water movement and colour changes. When you are wading, being covert by silently entering an area and walking a short distance can be very advantageous. Stomped fish may also consume it, but spooked bass does take much longer to recover from a previous state.
Consider adding this to your list of things to do if you’re new to fishing in the fall and winter this time. On the Texas Gulf Coast, the time of year is absolutely beautiful.
