Former U.S. Senate nominee Colin Allred (D-TX-32 ), dropped his 2026 bid on Monday for the same office. With the notion that Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett (D-TX-30 ) will climb in the race this day, the decision was made on the day of the filing date.
Allred was the first candidate to enter the race this year, joining state representatives Joaquin Castro (D-TX-20 ), and state representative James Talarico (D-Austin ).
