Tuesday night in Philadelphia saw the first presidential debate of the 2024 pattern since Joe Biden withdrew as the Democratic nomination. Both Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump argued why they merited the ballot in front of the entire country.
David Muir and Linsey Davis moderated the conversation, which was hosted by ABC News. The agreed-upon rules were for the conversation to last 90 minutes, offer no opening statements, and for the candidates to have at podiums with muffled microphones and no pre-written notes.
