House Speaker Dade Phelan (R-Beaumont ) has now made school choice a policy priority going into the 2025 legislative session, his office announced on Wednesday.
In conjunction with the appointment of lawyer and former state representative Mike Toomey as his new chief of staff, Phelan’s company made available a display of a team meeting. Ordinary greetings to Toomey to the team and a policy to staff to start developing policy ideas before the next session, which kicks off in January, were included in the readout.
