Without a second thought, I would ask my mother to get me into Wingate’s Meat Market in Orange every time we passed by, which was at least twice a week.
And about once a month, she may acquiesce.
The owner Nick Wingate had an incredible art collection, primarily made up of large fish he had caught in the Gulf of Mexico, and it was all due to them. A great buck and a hammerhead shark were among the other animals killed in Orange County, along with a fishes, tiger, and giant alligator. All of this made it impossible for me to envision potential endeavors.
We may travel to Port Arthur or Beaumont about once every two weeks if we lived in Orange, Texas.
