At the confirmation hearing for Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche on Wednesday, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX ) criticized President Donald Trump’s promises regarding safety guidelines for chemical abortion pills.

Prior to her firing in April, Blanche served as the deputy U.S. attorney general under former Attorney General Pam Bondi, who succeeded her in becoming the head of the U.S. Department of Justice ( DOJ).
