Housing pricing was a major priority for key members of the Texas Legislature during the previous session, and an upcoming time council hearing suggests the problem isn’t going away.
The Texas House’s Land and Resource Management Committee will meet on July 20 for a meeting to discuss a number of housing charges that are almost a year old after they become effective. All four bills have faced criticism from local government officials, which has prompted state leaders to return to the problem in the 90th Congressional Program beginning in January. All four bills are intended to increase the state’s housing supply by freeing up the development process.
