The lingering nail-biter born after the 2018 general election is officially in the rearview mirror. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) defeated Colin Allred (D-TX-32) in Tuesday’s election, winning another six years in the U.S. Senate and growing his margin of victory 3.5 points above the 2018 finish.
Fox News called the race just before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night and Cruz was up 6 points on Allred across the state.
