Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX-34) again defeated former Congresswoman Mayra Flores (R-TX-34) for the competitive South Texas congressional seat — the pair’s second contest in two cycles.
Gonzalez won by a narrow 4,000 votes with a 2 percent margin. Flores shrunk the margin substantially further but still could not get over the hump against Gonzalez.
