Texas Democrats are attempting to fill the major 2026 ticket, and state Senator Sarah Eckhardt (D-Austin ) made an announcement on Monday regarding a bid for the state’s superintendent of public records.
Prior to now, she had launched a campaign for Congressional District ( CD ) 10, which extends from Austin to Bryan-College Station. Due to the mid-decade redistricting in the summer, CD 10 moved to R-62 % in The Texan’s Texas Partisan Index ( TPI), which is slightly less favorable than under the old maps.
