
I just wrote about the rare but dangerous condition known as vitamin K deficiency bleeding in babies. I contacted more than 50 facilities and birth centers, contacted roughly 90 people records requests, and to record the story, I analyzed hundreds of sets of data. However, the most accurate portrayal of these tragedies was provided by autopsy reports, one report of how these children died.
In order to raise awareness of this condition and highlight what decades of research and discussions with lots of doctors revealed: In almost every case, the deaths could have been prevented with a plain photo of vitamin K at birth, I’m sharing some of the most important lessons I learned from the examination information.

Vitamin K is needed by children to prevent heart clotting, but their bodies don’t have enough of it in their bodies. Just days and occasionally hours before the babies start to feel well and happy, they are in good health and sometimes even hours before they experience severe bruising.

4. How valiantly medics attempted to protect them
