TOWA Conference Kicks Off Friday At Port Arthur

Join us for the Texas Outdoor Writer’s Association (TOWA) Annual Conference, taking place from May 5th to 7th at the Holiday Home Hotel in Port Arthur, Texas. This year’s theme is “The Next Generation,” focusing on the future of outdoor writing and conservation efforts.
The Holiday Home Hotel has agreed to honor the special TOWA room rate of $69 for a double and $79 for a King. However, the deadline for holding rooms is fast approaching. Please make your reservations as soon as possible

Friday, May 5th:

  • 5:00-6:30 PM: Happy Hour
  • 6:30-9:00 PM: Welcome Reception

Saturday, May 6th:

  • 8:00-9:00 AM: Breakfast
  • 9:00 AM-12:00 PM: Morning Seminars
    • H. Brune’s Welcome, Texas Brigades, and O&G Environmental Consultant presentations
  • 12:00-1:00 PM: Lunch, sponsored by Coastal Conservation Association
  • 1:00-2:00 PM: Chester Moore’s Wildlife Kingdom presentation
  • 2:00-5:00 PM: Breakout Tour – Sea Rim Park and Gulf Coast Museum
  • 5:00-6:30 PM: Happy Hour at the hotel
  • 6:30-9:00 PM: EIC Banquet & Fundraiser, sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (keynote speaker pending)

Sunday, May 7th:

  • 8:00-9:00 AM: Prayer Breakfast
  • 9:00 AM-12:00 PM: General Membership Meeting

First-place winners will receive a certificate and cash prize, while second-place winners and honorable mentions will receive certificates. The person winning the most awards will also receive a Mossberg 6.5 PRC rifle.
