In a case centered on the state’s statute of limitations in medical malpractice cases, the Supreme Court of Texas (SCOTX ) determined on Friday that a woman who regretted having gender modification surgery did not file her claims too late.
Soren Aldaco of Tarrant County filed a lawsuit against her medical providers and lawyers for fraudulent and negligent actions, including having a double mastectomy at the age of 19, which she later regretted.
