This year, eight of the 15 seats on the State Board of Education ( SBOE ) are up for election, with three seats being vacated by current board members and four incumbents seeking re-election.
Each party’s nomination for the November 3 basic election poll will be determined by the March 3 key. A runoff will be held on May 26 if no candidate receives a majority of the vote in the key.
