The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association’s (TWIA) proposed 10 percent rate increase has been denied by its governing state agency following public opposition.
Cassie Brown, commissioner of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), issued an order on Monday rejecting the agency’s proposal.
