
This week, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ( THECB) approved the addition of a new college entrance exam, the Classic Learning Test ( CLT).
Commissioner of Higher Education Wynn Rosser wrote in a letter on July 23 to Texas university ministers and leaders that a Texas A&M Public Policy Research Institute study “determined the Classic Learning Test ( CLT), SAT, and ACT are of sufficient rigor and reliability to be used as standard for college admissions in this state.”
