Texas receives$ 3 Billion in money from the U.S. Department of Energy for projects involving transmission of electricity

A$ 3.26 billion loan was made available by the U.S. Department of Energy to American Electric Power ( AEP ) Texas to finance approximately 100 transmission projects across the state.

According to Chris Wright, the director of energy for the United States,” This investment will upgrade Texas ‘ electrical grid, aid the energy needed for AI, advanced manufacturing, the Permian Basin, and help keep electricity costs down for Texans.”
