A Texas man was arrested and charged with “making a terroristic threat as a hate crime” towards New York State Assemblymember and Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani through several consecutive voicemails and online messages.
Jeremy Fistel of Plano was arrested on September 11 after being indicted on 22 counts by a grand jury on September 4. He was extradited to Queens, New York on September 17, and was fully informed of his charges the following day.
