Representatives from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have updated the state’s official mobile app to include information on yield monitoring, online registration, online registration displays, and more.
The smart application, which was previously known as My Texas Hunt Harvest, will now go by the name Texas Hunt & Fish and have the same fantastic features as the earlier version.
Hunting and fishing anglers can complete electronic on-site registration for most public hunting sites that can be reached using the Annual Public Hunt ( APH) Permit as well as the required reporting requirements for wild turkey, white-tailed deer, and alligator gar harvest with the Texas Hunt & Fish mobile app. Elk, turkey, oversized red drum, and spotted seatrout online tags must be executed using the Texas Hunt & Fish application.
One of the newest features, launched during the 2023-24 hunting season, is the app’s ability to show Chronic Wasting Disease ( CWD ) zones relative to the hunter’s location if they have the location services turned on.
A complete list of attributes includes:
- Use the game regardless of data support once it has been installed and your accounts is attached. Both online and offline features.
- Connect and display your fishing and hunting licenses ( note that those who have paper licenses must still carry physical tags when looking for species that have been tagged ) ).
- Perform necessary kill produce reporting for wild turkey, white-tailed deer, and gator par
- Game and seafood that have been online tagged ( requires the purchase of a suitable electric looking and/or fishing license )
- Track and watch your produce history
- For many public hunting areas, conduct electronic onsite registration ( EOSR ).
- Download maps of numerous people hunting locations for use with or without a data services.
- View CWD Zone limitations and use location service to find your position in relation to the closest area.

Users who do n’t want to use the app can complete the app’s required harvest reporting online.
Users who already have the outdated software installed on their devices will need to upgrade to the new edition starting on August 15 to get all the most recent features and ensure appropriate app functionality.
