Texas Education Agency’s 2023–2024 School Ratings’ Refresh’ Periodically Blocked by Judge

A Travis County district judge has halted the release of A-F ratings for the 2023-2024 school year against the Texas Education Agency ( TEA ) and its Commissioner Mike Morath by issuing a temporary restraining order against them.

The order, which prompted a reading on August 26 of this year to decide whether to grant a temporary order, was issued by presiding judge Karin Crump of the 250th District Court.
