A few years ago I introduced the F. L. E. X. Fish system, a dedicated program to catching big fish of any types.
F. L. E. X. stands for Focus- Understand- Eleminate- Experience and it has revolutionized my private fish. I’m working on a freebie for TF&G visitors that should be set by the June issue.
The following are some of the information from my F. L. E. X. Cheating ® speckled trout cheat sheets are where I compiled the most up-to-date information on big trout.
- As trout get bigger, they start consuming bigger pieces of predators. The largest fish eat the largest victim. Mullet is the recommended food of the biggest fish, according to experts in Texas and Mississippi. The hairstyle is usually two-thirds to one-thirds the size of the fish.
- When big speckled trout move into bays away from the Gulf, they heavily consume ribbonfish ( cutlassfish ). Consider BIG salmon while searching for ribbonfish that are rushing to the surface in panic. Ribbonfish may be spotted from a distance by their silver lights as they negligence.
- Fish do n’t typically migrate, but there is some activity between the southern level of the bay and network systems and the near-shore Gulf. The biggest fish are found in the Gulf, according to Louisiana State University researchers, especially in the summer and fall. Real villains can be found nearshore oil and gas systems as well as ship wrecks.
- Saltwater may be a component in locating prize fish. Mature fish prefer waters that is close to water in terms of acidity over brackish water, according to research conducted by the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.
- When the water temperature is 75 degrees or higher, larger trout are most likely to be found in Barataria Bay in Louisiana over a soft ( mud ) bottom or a shell.
- Trout are excellent nighttime feeds because of their level of tissue, which allows them to see in low light conditions. Exploring the luminscient quality of lures or baits that have a dramatic sillohuette and fishing in the early hours of the morning can help you exploit this quality and catch huge trout.
- Big sagittae in fish and trout have big sagittae as their sound receptors. They are really interested in sound made by people and other seafood. of noise in fish. Aside from assisting anglers in catching bigger, afraid fish, using lures carefully and working with natural sounds and popping corks can be done.
- The ability to create long, gentle casts is absolutely essential in the quest of great trout because trout are sensitive to both audio and visual cues.

- Trout are extremely quiet in clear water and have obvious, color vision. Fluorocarbon can be used to prevent possible huge trout catches from being lost.
- Fish have a keen sense of smell and taste, both of which work together effectively. Being able to make the right network when a large trout takes a lure is crucial because huge fish can be vulnerable to non-organic materials like plastic.
- In deep, remote canals, many anglers have observed a parasitic variety marriage between big fish and alligator garfish during the winter. Gar and salmon are seen squatting next to one another, presumably chopping up like a shark and remora. Could it be the fish are eating the gar’s pieces? When their metablolism is low ( and the gar wo n’t eat them ), are they simply sharing a habita similar to this? In the winter, been careful of the hinterlands.
- Researchers in Louisiana have discovered that artificial reefs attract fish because they concentrate the bait fish and save power by not moving too much to feed them. All large bass prefer to move slowly over the required amount.
- Men salmon make a” croaking” sound. Return to an area in the evening and plan to fish that later if you catch a lot of males. Males may assemble in a reproductive formation and scream en masse to entice females. When great fish are at their tiniest when they are most active.
- Topwaters are frequently sucked by large trout beneath the surface rather than “blowing up” on it. Wait a second before setting the hook to give the fish a chance to get it in if this occurs to you.
- Of the 477 spotted seatrout tagged in a movement study in Alabama, 58 results were received, and 53 percent exhibited no action. She is likely however very near if you missed a large sow in a specific location.
- A tiger’s metabolism slows significantly in the winter, which is demonstrated by the fact that their growth rates slow sluggish. This is even more evident in large trout, which are by nature more careful and slower moving.
- The biggest salmon almost always school. According to a study by D. C. Tabb, fish that are older than six years old are almost exclusively significant semi-single females. These are the companies that we aspire to.
Big trout are incredibly elusive, strange fish that do n’t fit into a particular category. They have a similar pattern to big largemouth bass in that their habits drastically change after they’ve gotten to a certain size. The angler who takes the time to research them and realizes that catching a lot of trout will end up with one large trout may win on their fish of the lifetime.
