People of Whitesboro, a town of just over 4, 000 people in Grayson County near the border with Oklahoma, are facing a 30 percent property tax rate increase.

Last year, Whitesboro’s tax rate was 39.9 cents per$ 100 valuation. The proposed tax rate for Fiscal Year ( FY ) 2025 is 51.97 cents.
