
The U.S. Senate has approved a bill that will increase the national judiciary in response to the growing caseload, which is a point of republican unanimity after the bill was defeated without opposition.
The legislation, entitled the Judicial Understaffing Delays Getting Emergencies Solved ( JUDGES ) Act of 2024, adds new district judges to states nationwide, including Texas, where Congress found judges are being overburdened with growing dockets.
